Privacy Policy — Equal Grid

Effective 12 October 2026

Equal Grid is a block puzzle game by Wobbly Studio, based in Egypt ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with your information, in plain language.

The short version

  • You can play Zen and practice without an account. Your progress is stored on your phone.
  • If you choose Google sign-in, we create an Equal Grid account so your Daily Grid scores can appear on leaderboards.
  • The game shows ads through Google AdMob. In regions where the law requires it, you are asked for your consent first.
  • The game sells optional one-time purchases (themes, block styles and removing ads) through Google Play. We never see your payment details.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

What stays on your device

Equal Grid saves the following in the app's private storage on your phone:

  • Your current Zen run, scores, personal bests and Daily Grid attempt history
  • Your mastery level, achievements, unlocked themes and block styles, and your settings
  • A record of which purchases you own, so they can be restored

This local progress is not synchronized to your online account. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app removes it.

Google sign-in and Daily Grid leaderboards (optional)

If you sign in with Google, Google provides the identity information needed to authenticate you, which can include your Google account identifier, email address, display name and profile information. We exchange it for an Equal Grid account hosted by our service provider Supabase. We store a generated pseudonymous player label, your ranked Daily scores and attempt outcomes, friend relationships, and limited operational records such as timestamps and rate-limit counters.

Other players can see only your generated label and your confirmed score and rank. They cannot see your email address, Google account details, internal account identifier or gameplay replay data. A friend relationship is visible only to the two connected accounts.

Confirmed ranked records are kept for up to 365 days. Rejected or abandoned attempts and expired friend invitations are kept for up to 30 further days. Export files are kept for up to 7 days and rate-limit counters for up to 7 days. Your profile and active friend relationships stay until you delete your account.

Advertising

Equal Grid shows ads from Google AdMob: short full-screen ads between Zen games, and optional "watch a video" ads that you choose to watch in return for a bonus (a second undo, a revive, double XP, or a 24-hour theme trial). There are no ads in Daily Grid, ranked or practice, and none appear while a game is in progress.

To show and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and use your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app first shows Google's consent form, and you can change your choice later under Settings → Ad choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android settings. Google's practices are described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Buying Remove Ads (or a bundle that includes it) stops the ads between games. The optional bonus videos remain available.

Purchases

Optional one-time purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. Google processes your payment under its own terms; we do not receive your card or payment details. The app receives only confirmation that a purchase was made, and keeps a record of it on your device so it can be restored. Purchases do not affect scoring or Daily Grid rankings.

Service providers

  • Google — sign-in, Google Play purchases and Google AdMob advertising
  • Supabase — hosts the online account, leaderboard database and server functions

They process information on our behalf or under their own terms. We do not sell personal information.

Security

The app uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Account refresh credentials are stored in Android-backed encrypted storage. Access to online game data is restricted by authenticated server functions and database row-level security. No method of protection can be guaranteed to be absolute.

Permissions

  • Internet and network state — for sign-in, leaderboards, ads and purchases
  • Advertising ID — used by Google AdMob as described above
  • Google Play billing — to make purchases
  • Vibration — optional haptic feedback, which you can turn off in Settings

Your choices and rights

You can play without signing in. If you do sign in, you can sign out, export your online account data, or permanently delete your account from Settings → Privacy & Data. Deleting the Equal Grid account removes your online profile, ranked records, friend connections, invitations and authentication record. It does not delete your Google account. You can also ask us to delete your data by emailing wobblygames45@gmail.com. Local data is removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, object to, restrict or receive a copy of personal information. Contact us to exercise those rights.

Children

Equal Grid is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date at the top.
