Privacy Policy — Neon Divide

Effective October 6, 2026

Neon Divide does not require an account. Your progress is saved on your own device by default. If you choose to sign in with Play Games, the game also stores a display name, a short friend code, your leaderboard scores, and your friend list on our servers so leaderboards and friends can work — this is entirely optional and the game is fully playable without it. The advertising network is the only other third party involved, and only when an advertisement is shown.

What the game stores, and where

Everything the game saves stays in its own private storage on your device:

  • Settings, including audio, haptics and accessibility options
  • Whether you have finished the tutorial
  • Campaign progress and stars
  • Arcade records and lifetime statistics
  • Daily Challenge history and best scores
  • Data Fragments, earned tokens, and Energy Core state
  • Cosmetic ownership and your active selections
  • Purchase entitlements
  • Daily counters used to limit optional rewarded advertisements
  • Session count and total play time, used only to decide when an advertisement may appear

None of this is transmitted anywhere by default. There is no analytics service in this build. Uninstalling the game removes it, and it is not recoverable — with the exception of purchases, which your app store can restore, and (if you signed in) your leaderboard account, which lives on our servers independently of the device.

Optional account: sign-in, leaderboards and friends

Neon Divide includes an optional Leaderboard feature (Arcade and Daily Challenge boards, plus adding friends by a short friend code). It is entirely optional — every menu, mode and reward in the game works without ever signing in. If you choose to use it:

  • Signing in uses Google Play Games Services. We receive your Play Games display name at the moment you sign in, in order to create your account. We do not receive or store your email address.
  • What is stored on our servers (hosted on Google Firebase, a backend provider): a display name, a randomly generated six-character friend code, your best Arcade score and your best score per Daily Challenge date, and your friend list (the friend codes you have connected with).
  • What this is used for: showing you and other players the Global and Friends leaderboards, and connecting friends who exchange friend codes. Leaderboard scores and display names are visible to other signed-in players; nothing else is.
  • Deleting your account: contact wobblygames45@gmail.com with the request and we will delete your profile, scores and friend connections. Signing out on-device does not delete server-side data by itself — it only ends the local session.

What the game does not do

  • It does not use your location
  • It does not use the camera or the microphone
  • It does not read your photos, files or other apps' data
  • It does not contain chat or user-generated content beyond a chosen display name
  • It does not send anything you do in single-player modes to us unless you have signed in and are playing Arcade or the Daily Challenge (only the score is sent, never gameplay details)

Advertising

Neon Divide shows two kinds of advertisement:

  1. Occasional full-screen advertisements between runs. Never during play, never during the tutorial, and never more than one after every three completed runs, with at least four minutes between them.
  2. Optional advertisements you choose to watch in exchange for a stated reward. These are always your choice, and every reward they give can also be earned by playing.

Advertisements are supplied by Google AdMob. To serve them, the advertising SDK may collect and process device information such as a device advertising identifier, IP address, coarse location derived from it, and interaction with the advertisement. This processing is carried out by the advertising network under its own privacy policy, not by us: Google's advertising privacy information is at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Your choice. On first run you are asked whether advertising may be personalised. Choosing non-personalised means the SDK is asked for generic advertisements only. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy and advertising. Both choices leave the entire game playable. Where the law requires it, the advertising SDK presents its own consent form, which is shown before any advertisement is requested.

Buying your way out. Purchasing Remove Forced Ads, the Founder Pack or the Supporter Edition permanently disables the automatic full-screen advertisements. Optional rewarded advertisements remain available if you want them, and every reward they give remains earnable through ordinary play.

Reporting an advertisement. If you see an advertisement that is inappropriate or broken, note the time and the advertiser and contact wobblygames45@gmail.com, including your device model and the approximate time. We will pass the report to the advertising network. Advertisement close and skip controls belong to the advertising network and are always visible and usable.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see or receive your payment details. The game stores only a local record of which products you own, so your benefits apply offline.

Use Restore Purchases on the Shop or Settings screen to re-apply purchases on a new device or after reinstalling. Restoration is handled by your app store account.

The available products are: Remove Forced Ads, Founder Pack, Supporter Edition, three individual arena themes, and a theme bundle. Everything except the Data Fragment packs is a one-time purchase. Fragment packs can be bought repeatedly and are used up when bought, so they are not restored. Data Fragments are an in-game currency that only unlocks cosmetic items and cannot buy gameplay advantages. There is no subscription, no loot box, no battle pass.

Children

Neon Divide is intended for a general audience of age 13 and over, in line with its Play Store target-audience and content-rating settings, and is not directed primarily at children. It contains no violence, no chat and no user-generated content.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this game, contact us and we will investigate.

Your rights

If you have never signed in, no personal information is collected or transmitted by the game, and there is nothing held about you for us to export or delete — uninstalling the game or using your device's "clear app data" function removes everything.

If you have signed in with Play Games, contact wobblygames45@gmail.com to request a copy of, or the deletion of, your account (display name, friend code, scores and friend connections). See "Optional account" above.

For data processed by the advertising network, exercise your rights through the network's own controls, linked above, and through your device's advertising settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).

Offline behaviour

The game is fully playable with no network connection. Without one, advertisements simply do not appear and the store shows as unavailable. Nothing is queued for later transmission.

Security

Saved data is held in the application's private storage, which your operating system isolates from other apps. Because no personal information is collected on-device, there is none in transit to intercept there. Account data you opt into (display name, friend code, scores, friend connections) is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our backend provider and protected by security rules so only you can modify your own record. Progress is written with a rolling backup so an interrupted write loses at most the most recent change, and purchase entitlements are stored separately so damaged progress data cannot cost you something you paid for.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will change and the updated text will be published at the same URL before the change takes effect.
