In short:
This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile game Reef Drop
(package name: com.reefdrop), developed by
Wobbly Studio ("we", "us"). It explains what information the app
and the third-party services it uses collect, why, and what choices you have.
Reef Drop does not ask you to create an account or type in any sign-in details; it uses the Google Play Games profile already on your phone (see section 3). We do not ask for or collect:
We do not run our own server that stores personal data about players. We do not receive your Google account details; Google Play Games only lets the game save and load your progress for you.
When you open Reef Drop it signs you in with Google Play Games automatically. Your game progress — reef, creatures discovered, scores, coins, settings, and a randomly generated anonymous player ID — is stored only as a Saved Game in your Google Play Games account. The game keeps no other copy of it on your device. This lets you restore your progress when you reinstall the game or switch phones. The Saved Game is stored and processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Play Games Services terms; you can view or delete it in the Google Play Games app (Settings → Delete Play Games account & data). Reef Drop needs an internet connection and a Google account on the phone to load your progress at start-up.
The app includes the following third-party services. Each processes data under its own privacy policy.
| Service | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Showing rewarded, interstitial, and banner ads; ad measurement; consent | Advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, ad interactions, approximate location derived from IP. If you consent (where required), ads may be personalized. |
| Google Play Games Services | Signing you in and saving / restoring your game progress | Your Play Games profile identifier, and the Saved Game that contains your progress, kept in your Google account. |
| Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) | Understanding how the game is played, fixing crashes, adjusting game settings remotely | App interactions and gameplay events (for example, level completed), crash logs and diagnostics, device model and OS version, app instance ID. |
| Google Play Billing | Processing and restoring in-app purchases | Purchase history (products bought) is handled by Google Play. Payment details are handled only by Google Play; we never see your card information. |
This data is used to operate the game, show ads, process purchases, measure and improve the game, and keep it stable. We do not sell your personal information.
Data is encrypted in transit. Because we cannot identify you from the information the game holds, we cannot look up or delete individual records on request; you can reset the advertising ID in your Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads) and delete your saved progress in the Google Play Games app.
Where required (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland), the game shows a consent message from Google's User Messaging Platform before ads are requested. You can review or change your choice at any time using Privacy Options in the game's Settings (it opens Google's consent form where one is required in your region). You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization, in your Android device settings.
You can remove interstitial and banner ads permanently with the optional "Remove Ads" purchase.
| Permission | What it's used for |
|---|---|
| Internet / network state | Signing in to Google Play Games and saving your progress, loading ads, analytics, crash reports, and purchases. |
| Advertising ID | Used by Google AdMob for ads and ad measurement. You can reset or delete it in your Android settings. |
| Vibration | Haptic feedback during gameplay; can be turned off in the game's Settings. |
| Notifications | Optional reminders (for example, lives refilled or a daily reward). The game asks first, and you can turn them off in Android settings. |
The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, location, or storage access. When you choose to share a screenshot of your progress, the image is passed to Android's share sheet and goes only to the app you pick.
Reef Drop is not directed at children under 13 and is not part of Google Play's Designed for Families program. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the game, contact us and we will help get it removed from our records.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can withdraw ad consent in the game's Settings (Privacy Options) and control the advertising ID in your Android settings; you can delete your saved progress in the Google Play Games app. For other requests, contact us using the address below. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the ad services described above.
Data sent by the app to the services above is encrypted in transit. Your saved progress is protected by Google's security for your Google account. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy, for example when new features are added. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
